Book-Sharing Boxes

In the Summer of 2021, Mikayla Hicklin earned her gold award through the Girl Scout Program.  Mikayla has been a member of the girl scouts for 13 years and previously achieved her bronze and silver awards.  The gold award is the highest achievement in scouts, and she earned it through her efforts to create Book-Sharing Boxes and place them in 6 of the Township Parks.
Mikayla hopes these boxes will encourage kindness and imagination in the younger generations of our community, as well as help others learn and gain respect for books.

Book-Sharing Locations:

In addition, the Kiwanis Club of Linglestown Area has adopted the program and will ensure the boxes are maintained and filled with donated books each week.
