Catherine "Kate" Scheib, Treasurer
Catherine “Kate” Scheib is a long-time Lower Paxton Township resident who believes deeply in community-centered, transparent, and forward-thinking local government. With more than 15 years of municipal experience, she brings both practical knowledge and a strong sense of civic responsibility to her role as Township Supervisor.
Kate’s professional life blends public service with private-sector expertise. For 26 years, she owned and operated a financial services business, helping individuals, families, and small businesses build stable futures through thoughtful planning and sustainable investment strategies. This work strengthened her commitment to fiscal responsibility, fairness, and making long-term decisions that benefit the whole community.
Her municipal background spans both administrative and elected roles, giving her a unique, well-rounded understanding of how local government truly works. Kate has been involved in budget oversight, policy development, community planning, and neighborhood-focused initiatives. She is a strong advocate for open communication, public participation, and ensuring that government decisions are made with clarity, accountability, and respect for all residents.
As Township Supervisor, Kate’s priorities include responsible and inclusive growth, transparent budgeting, modernized infrastructure, support for first responders, and expanded access to parks, trails, and public spaces. She is committed to helping build a township where families thrive, seniors feel supported, and small businesses can grow.
Kate graduated from Penn State College of Technology and Bucknell University. She and her husband, Eric, share a blended family of six grown children and several grandchildren. When she’s not working, she enjoys traveling, community events, and spending time with family and neighbors.
