Meet Marilyn Ladieu

Marilyn_LaDieu_Headshot-circle
A graduate of Syracuse University College of Visual and Performing Arts with a BFA in Illustration, Marilyn has been painting with acrylics for many years. Recently she started painting smaller plein air paintings to ease the problem of carrying large canvases and supplies to Florida during the winter and on retirement trips around the country. In addition, she has worked in the past as a printmaker, concentrating on monotypes and intaglio (etching). Her subjects range from buildings and landscapes to figures with an eye on the patterns, shapes and light falling on the subject.

In the past Marilyn has participated in many juried and invitational shows in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area and around the region. She is a member of the National Society of Painters in Casein and Acrylic, Art Association of Harrisburg, Perry County Council of the Arts Gallery, York Art Association and Hershey Area Art Association. She resides in Harrisburg but also spends a lot of time in Venice, Florida or traveling with her husband in their van camper.
